10 Simple Things To Do Towards Grand Weight Loss.

By admin On July 23rd, 2010

There are lots and lots of ways to lose weight. Some would be on a diet for years. Some would take apidexin and those diet pills that work. Some would play sports and do a lot of exercises. Some would not even eat all. The question is, what really is THE way to lose weight? I guess it depends on the person who want to lose weight. And here are a couple of suggestions that I seem to find true (well basing in my opinion and experience).

1. Eat smaller more frequent meals – Ever since I became pregnant, I’ve been eating smaller and frequent meals. It also makes your blood sugar normal and the tendency to shoot up is lesser.

2. Drink more water – it definitely makes you full all the time. AND as they usually say, regular water intake helps to flush away waste products.

3. Move around

4. Eat more protein – I used to eat a lot of rice and carbo but I noticed that I don’t lose weight when I do that. So I tried eating more chicken, fish, eggs, dairy, beans, and lean red meats. It also helps that our body burns more calories processing protein than either carbohydrates or fats.

5. Take the stairs instead of the elevator

6. Don’t let yourself get hungry – Ironic as it may sound but if you lose weight make sure you don’t let yourself go hungry. Or else you will overeat and would tend to eat more than what you can take.

7. Order small portions at restaurants

8. Eat more fiber – easier to digest and very filling too!

9. Wait 20 minutes between servings – our brain takes at least 20 minutes to register that you’re full. By waiting that long, you’ll give your brain a chance to realize that you don’t really need any more food.

10. Reward Yourself – I love this part! If you did a good job in dieting for the past couple of days (or weeks) a sugar-free ice cream would be nice to reward yourself.

These are simple things to do but the output is definitely GRAND!

On Being Healthy.

By admin On June 11th, 2010

I’ve always vowed that I would take care of myself by being healthy. Eat right, drink vitamins, try to do some exercises, and sleep early. So far I can manage the eating right part and the drinking of vitamins but the exercises and sleeping early, I have to work on that. I just couldn’t find time to do the exercises and since I still have a toddler I can’t promise to sleep early too. So what I usually do is I eat right and make myself loaded with vitamins. So far it works.

Smooth Agile DMT Elliptical

Lately, I’ve been planning on how to start doing my routine exercises. It’s so hard especially if you don’t own a gym in your house. Now I was wondering if elliptical machines would be able to help me at least establish a routine. It’s just so hard to start. I found this nice Smooth Agile DMT Elliptical that would go well in our family room.

Isn’t it GRAND? My target would be to be healthy for the rest of the year (and the coming years) so I guess having to own a machine like that would help me start a routine. What I can probably do is wake up an hour earlier than my usual wake up time, do exercises for 30 minutes, eat a healthy breakfast like oatmeal and coffee and then it’s time to start off my day!
