Well Done Steaks.

When steak is served on my table, I don’t need a natural vitamin anymore since I love steaks and I can finish this is in one seating. Steaks are a treat for me and I love it! I prefer medium well or well done depending on my mood.

The steak above is from Highland Steakhouse in SM Mall of Asia. My meal there was fantastic. Sumptious if I may add. Salad, Soup, Mashed Potato and Steak.

My kind of meal. Fit for a queen. Definitely GRAND!

A Grand Weight Loss Pill

By admin On April 29th, 2010

…is what I need for my brother who badly needs to lose weight. He needs some weight loss pills that work. He tried a lot already but still haven’t succeeded in losing weight. Ever since he was a little boy he would eat noodles and rice (yes carbo-overload!). That would be his breakfast, lunch and dinner. I know such a shame! We can’t even let him eat fish and vegetables. He only eats meat, junk foods, and canned goods. We’ve been warning him that he should eat well in order to lose but he wouldn’t listen. I guess the idea of losing weight is too overwhelming for him so he couldn’t start. Maybe it would be best to start small. Eat right, do some exercises and I’m sure he will lose weight afterwards.

The Bag O’Beans Breakfast

By admin On April 29th, 2010

One of the grand breakfasts we had in Tagaytay is in Bag O’Beans. A bit far though but definitely worth it! My favorite is their hot chocolate that I wouldn’t fail to order everytime we are there. I love their raisin bread too! The egg omellette is too die for especially if you pair it with bacon. Yum! I want to dine there again one of these days!

Kids and Online Gaming.

By admin On April 29th, 2010

When I was in an internet cafe a couple of weeks ago, I realized that almost all of the kids inside that cafe were playing online games. I know I can’t relate because I’m not really into online gaming. But there’s a new game that I came across while I was there and it was called the WSOP Journal. At first I found it complicated but when I read more about this game, it was just all about poker and playing it online. I’m not sure if kids are already allowed to play in this website. They must have a rule or sometihng that kids below 18 years old should not be allowed. After all, poker is a game for adults right?

My kids are slowly growing up and in a few years they will be playing online games by themselves. My 4 year old even tried playing at NickJr.com site and she had the time of her life! So I had to make sure that I update myself with what’s the latest and play it myself. Just to make sure that it is not damaging to their minds and health. We don’t know what’s out there trying to make them play. With this, they will encounter a lot of unexpected stuff such as ads. These ads will be corrupting their minds and I don’t know if they can take it properly. So I guess the lesson here is that it’s best to filter the games that they can play online, as of the moment. As for me, I should probably play WSOP more to practice and see if I’d be hooked big time.

Eejanaika Roller Coaster

By admin On April 29th, 2010

Another one from Fuji-Q Highland in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan. Eejanaika is a steel 4th Dimension roller coaster and one of the tallest steel roller coaster in the world. Fourth Dimension from Wikipedia means, “A design in which the seats can rotate forward or backward 360 degrees in a controlled spin. This is achieved by having four rails on the track: two of these are running rails while the other two are for spin control. The two rails that control the spin of the seats move up and down relative to the track and spin the seats using a rack and pinion gear mechanism.”

AMAZING!

What would you do if you are Bored?

By admin On April 29th, 2010

What do you usually do?

There are people who would just surf the internet and sites like Facebook, Friendster, Twitter, Flickr, and more. There are people who would read books online. There are people who would play online games. And there are some who would visit Caesars online. I haven’t tried this myself but they said that it’s as fun as being in the place itself. Playing games has never been my thing but when I heard about Caesars, I can’t help but check it out. They offer a whole lot of games for you. I’m just not sure how it works exactly though. Are you going to use your credit card? Do you pay cash? What if you win? What happens to your winnings? Those are the things that I have yet to check and find out.

When I get bored I would usually catch up on my reading. I love to read fiction books. My Hubby used to say, how can you enjoy something that you can’t see (he loves television, by the way). I told him it’s the imagination that really works. I get to imagine the face of the character, the place or the venue of the events in the book, the weather. This comes easily especially if the author is very descriptive. That’s why I love books that are very well detailed so I can truly imagine what’s going on.

Another thing that I usually do when I get bored is I just watch a movie or a DVD. This is easier since the kids and Hubby would love to do this. Shopping is what I love to do too but there are times that I don’t want to spend anymore. So I guess the best thing for me is to surf websites, read, or watch a movie.

Fujiyama Roller Coaster

By admin On April 29th, 2010

Another amazing roller coaster and one of the tallest steel roller coaster in the world! This is located at Fuji-Q Highland, Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan. It stands 259 feet and had the largest drop in the world which is 230 feet. Definitely tall, right? I wonder if I can try any of these roller coasters at least once in my life?

I’m a Programmer.

By admin On April 28th, 2010

This is the first time I’ve really admitted that I’m a programmer. You see, I’ve been in the IT industry doing web and applications for 7 years now. At first I didn’t really feel like doing it. I just did programming becuase it was my job. I was assigned in several departments and handled industrial products. I was also in sales selling softwares. I liked it at first but as years went by, I became bored with what I was doing. Now, I’m back to web programming again and I can’t help but feel happy that I’m doing what I like. I’m sure not many people would agree because they might find programming a boring job.

I found this quote from DevTopics.com about programmers which I find it funny and somehow true…

“The trouble with programmers is that you can never tell what a programmer is doing until it’s too late.” (Seymour Cray)

Being a programmer for me, is a great thing. I know that there are already programmmers out there who can do my job but since I do it well, I’m very proud of it.

Manic Monday #209

By admin On April 27th, 2010

If you could write your own bill of rights, what would you include? I would like to include the old. Give them nice benefits and a place to stay.

What is going on in the world today that affects you the most? The earthquakes, storms, global warming. It’s getting me nervous!

What do you think is the secret to a good life? God.
