Leviev

By admin On July 28th, 2010

The Leviev’s fancy pink and white diamond necklace which is close to $2 million is one of the most expensive jewelries in the world.

I had to agree with this one! It actually includes a whopping 97.9 carats in pear-shaped and round, brilliant cuts. And would you believe that it took them more than a year to find and piece together the rare stones in platinum? But it was worth the wait because this piece is stunning and definitely GRAND!

Just like the American eagle gold coin that I recently discovered. I’ve read about how to buy gold eagle coins and I was surprised that you can actually consider this as an investment. If you are into investments I’m sure you would know this. US Gold Bureau is offering different kinds of precious metals from gold to silver and also in different forms. You can choose precious metals in coin or ingot form. If you are a coin collector and wants to invest too, this one is for you.

Decrease Your Wait With Broadband Internet Access

By admin On July 28th, 2010

Broadband Internet access is a high-speed Internet connection that transfers data faster than a dial-up connection. With dial-up, your data transfers through a 56k modem, which utilizes a slow rate of 56 kilobits per second. For people who work with large files, this rate can negatively impact your online experience. When you use a 56k modem to download a media file or a large photo, you may find the slower connection speed causes issues with the clarity of the file. Media files may skip over sections, get stuck in one place, or look pixilated. Photos may also appear with distortions.

Instead of waiting for a slow connection to make mediocre progress, consider upgrading to broadband. While the cost is more expensive, more people now use broadband than dial-up. If your financial situation is keeping you from making the upgrade, there are a couple things to consider. First, you can find broadband deals that reduce the cost of the service for new users. This can bring the price down to a range comparable to dial-up service. Second, consider the value of your time. If you telecommute, you could use the minutes you spend waiting for files to download or for web pages to load to make more progress, translating into more money in your pocket.

While broadband is an option for Windows-based browsers, such as Internet Explorer, you can find broadband that works with other types of browsers, including Linux-based ones. Most broadband Internet access will work with older operating systems, dating as far back as 1998. If you use an older browser, you may not see as much of an increase in speed as you want. This is because many web designers create web pages for newer browsers. Regardless of the type of browser you use, broadband can have you surfing the web at much faster speeds.

Chanel

Why am I not surprised?

Chanel’s D-Flawless Bracelet Watch is $1.9 Million! Definitely one of the most expensive jewelries in the world. The D-Flawless Bracelet Watch is arrayed in 18-karat white gold with 120 cultured pearls of 6 millimeters to 6.5mm diameter, and 133 diamonds for a total weight of 35.1 carats, including 32 brilliant-cut diamonds of 1 carat per.

Grand Ways to Take Care of Men’s Shirts.

By admin On July 28th, 2010

You spend a great deal of your budget on clothing. Clothing is often time considered an investment and should be cared for as such. Proper care and clean of everything from suits to men’s shirts to slacks is important. Below are some few tips that will help keep your clothing well cared for.

• Always check the care tag! If it says “Dry Clean Only,” do just that! The same applies for those tags that instruct that the garment be hand washed.
• Sort your clothing to avoid color bleeds. Nothing is more frustrating than having your whites turn blue or red or even pink. Wash darks and light colored garments separately and whites should always be done alone.
• Unbutton your garments before washing. This reduces wear and tear and allows a better cleaning cycle. Pull the sleeves out of the armholes, don’t have one leg inside out, and your socks should not be in balls.
• 100 percent cotton clothing may shrink if placed in the dryer. To maintain the fit of your clothes, these garments should be air-dried.
• If you remove clothing from the dryer immediately, you will reduce the need for ironing. Many new dryers have a wrinkle release cycle which can also help cut down on ironing.
• If your clothing had stains, make sure they were completely removed during the wash cycle before tossing it into the dryer. The heat from dryers will set the stain and make it very difficult, if not impossible, to remove.
• Do not use bleach on fragile materials or clothing made of wool or silk. When adding bleach to the wash, add it to the wash water. If bleach is poured directly on clothing you may end up with bleach blotches.

With these quick tips, you’ll be able to ensure that your clothing investment maintains a great appearance for a long time.

Tiffany & Co.

By admin On July 26th, 2010

I won’t attest to this – Tiffany & Co.’s Regal Pear Shape Diamond Pendant set in platinum is one of the most expensive jewelries in the world! Check it out.

Just by the look of this oh-so-clear diamond, no wonder this is worth $2.5 Million. It is 41.4-carat, pear-shaped diamond. It is accompanied by a multitude of round and pear-shaped diamonds. I was not surprised that each stone actually is top-of-the-crust in color and clarity. Tiffany – as they always describe it – something big out of the little blue box. This is definitely GRAND!

How Grand is Your Plan to Invest?

By admin On July 25th, 2010

That is actually Hubby’s question to me a couple of days ago. I would really love to invest like to buy gold bullion, silver or other precious metals from US Gold Bureau. That is supposed to be the plan. I’ve read that gold’s value is getting higher everyday and this would be the perfect time to start investing. In the next few years, the value would probably be doubled or more. So I should be deciding now and start the fun! But of course since it entails my hard earned money, I better make sure that I’m partnering with a reliable company that will keep my money safe and sound. Especially if I plan to buy it online. It would be a major purchase but after further research, I know that the rewards would definitely be grand.

10 Simple Things To Do Towards Grand Weight Loss.

By admin On July 23rd, 2010

There are lots and lots of ways to lose weight. Some would be on a diet for years. Some would take apidexin and those diet pills that work. Some would play sports and do a lot of exercises. Some would not even eat all. The question is, what really is THE way to lose weight? I guess it depends on the person who want to lose weight. And here are a couple of suggestions that I seem to find true (well basing in my opinion and experience).

1. Eat smaller more frequent meals – Ever since I became pregnant, I’ve been eating smaller and frequent meals. It also makes your blood sugar normal and the tendency to shoot up is lesser.

2. Drink more water – it definitely makes you full all the time. AND as they usually say, regular water intake helps to flush away waste products.

3. Move around

4. Eat more protein – I used to eat a lot of rice and carbo but I noticed that I don’t lose weight when I do that. So I tried eating more chicken, fish, eggs, dairy, beans, and lean red meats. It also helps that our body burns more calories processing protein than either carbohydrates or fats.

5. Take the stairs instead of the elevator

6. Don’t let yourself get hungry – Ironic as it may sound but if you lose weight make sure you don’t let yourself go hungry. Or else you will overeat and would tend to eat more than what you can take.

7. Order small portions at restaurants

8. Eat more fiber – easier to digest and very filling too!

9. Wait 20 minutes between servings – our brain takes at least 20 minutes to register that you’re full. By waiting that long, you’ll give your brain a chance to realize that you don’t really need any more food.

10. Reward Yourself – I love this part! If you did a good job in dieting for the past couple of days (or weeks) a sugar-free ice cream would be nice to reward yourself.

These are simple things to do but the output is definitely GRAND!

Cartier

By admin On July 23rd, 2010

Well, I’m sure no one will attest to this. Cartier being part of the high end jewelries, their Panther Brooch is definitely one of the most expensive jewelries in the world. Costing to $1.1 Million, it includes a 65.9-carat Ceylon sapphire; 102 Cabochon sapphires totaling 10.7 carats; 868 brilliant diamonds totaling 16.4 carats; and two emerald eyeballs weighing 1.1 carats, all set in 18 karats white gold and platinum. This piece of jewelry captures Cartier’s most recognizable symbol through a gallimaufry of precious stones. No wonder it’s THAT expensive!

I wonder if these jewelries would go on sale? Would they be part of the usual Black Friday Thanksgiving sale? In my opinion, they better not be part of it! Or else people will just be waiting for it be on sale before buying it. And with that, the value will probably be less than the original and it won’t be that attractive anymore.
