The Grand Canyon is one of the wonders of the seven natural wonders of the world. It is not only grand but also breath-taking. And take note that this is not man-made but purely natural. God made this beauty for us to appreciate. It actually is occupied by one of the first National parks in the United States called the Grand Canyon National Park. It is a steep-sided gorge carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona. Wondering how long and how big this park is? It is 277 miles (446 km) long, ranges in width from 4 to 18 miles (6.4 to 29 km) and attains a depth of over a mile (1.83 km) (6000 feet). Quite amazing, isn’t it?
